Scans inadequate

I've been using this item for a little over a week and
found that the freeware Ad-Aware does a better job than
this does. If this is indicative of MS's future...we need
to look at our source of software.

I have noticed that running the former SpyAssassin (now
Adware Filter) after MS Spyware, I get about 20 hits or
more found that were not picked up when the MS Spyware was
run. Also, I notice that over half are related to MSN (or
seeminlgy affilliated) items. That makes me wonder if the
MS Spyware cleans off only non-MS/MSN items.

I am not an IT pro, nor do I work for any other software
company -- Just a user who typically likes MS products and
uses them daily.

if you check out the numbers at www.spywarewarrior.com -
they have comparisons of most of the major spyware
programs. No spyware scanner gets everything. But Giant -
(now Microsoft Anti-Spyware) has the highest rating of
any of their compared programs. Your case is likely
unique. If the numbers are correct - this means that you
had some spyware that was not on this particular software,
but for the majority of the users out there, this is the
best single program. But I myself use multiple programs.
I don't rely on any 1 piece of software to fix spyware. I
would suggest using Microsoft-Antispyware in combination
with Adaware.
