scanpst.exe missing

I'm using Office 2007 and am having problems with Outlook. I couldn't locate
a repair tool, went to the Office 2007 web site and was directed to locate
the file, 'scanpst.ext', via SEARCH. The file did not show up. It is listed
in the directory under C/Program Files/Microsoft Office/ Office 12, but shows
a broken yellow envelope icon. Do I need to reinstall my Office 2007 program
to repair it? Thanks.
 
Thanks for the quick response. I should have been more specific. The icon is
for scanpst, there is NO scanpst.exe.
 
That is because your operating system is configured to non show
extensions for known file types.
