Hello everyone. My problem is that I have a small network connected through
a router. My problem is, I am unable to scan the other drives on the
network. I am running windows XP home on two machines. I know, my friend
who is running XP professional, at least on one machine is able to scan the
other computer on the neck work with Norton antivirus. When I have tried it
Northlands has found the drive but only scan seven files I am wondering if it
is something to do with not running Windows XP professiona my friend gave me
this command l\\<Computer Name>\C$ (we're computer name is the name of the
drive) to test the network it could not find the path. Even though the path
is correct I would appreciate any feedback on what I can try. And if that is
something to do with Windows XP professional. It is not sharing the drive is
properly with XP home

1. What is a "she drive"? Is that a drive that is pissed off all the time?
:)

2. This is a newsgroup for Microsoft .NET application development, not
networking issues.

3. A drive can't be accessed unless it has given permission to other users
to do so.

4. There are differences between XP Home and XP Pro. when it comes to
networking.

5. You would probably need a network version of your virus scanning
software to accomplish what you are trying to do.

Hmmm. Scott, I think we just learned something about
your wife/girlfriend. ;-)

My husband is almost choking because he is laughing so much.

He just made a comment that he should try plugging his memory stick into my
she drive.

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!

No, you didn't. Now, if I walked around calling her a she-wife, you might.
But I don't.

Just beware of viruses!
