hi can anyone help, i have norton internet security 2006 installed on my
pc and when i right click on an mpeg or avi file, mp3 etc. and select
norton to scan i get the screen confirmation thing saying no files were
scanned. it works fine for things like a word document or something. i
just right click it and scan it and it says 1 file scanned no viruses.
it just doesnt seem to like scanning mpegs. anybody out there able to
help (is there some settings i have turned off??)
thanks in advance

Hello ! Open Norton and open its Settings. Make sure these files are not in
the Exception lists for both real-time protection and manual scan.
If they are there , just remove them and leave No exceptions. In addition
make sure your Norton is always up-to-date , make sure its heuristic is ON ,
make sure Norton scans for all kind of files+compressed and make sure Norton
scans for potentially unwanted stuff.

If the one above doesn't help ,contact Symantec ! ;-)
