Scanning microfiche on a Nikon Coolscan 9000 ED film scanner?

I've got a Nikon Coolscan 9000 ED film scanner (for a few more weeks) and my
father has asked if I can scan in about 130 sheets of microfiche. I've got
the FH-869G film strip holder (glass) that I've used for medium format
negatives.

Has anyone experimented with scanning microfiche on the Nikon 9000 film
scanner? I know I'd have to cut the microfiche sheets but any idea what the
Nikon recognizes as the negative size?

Thanks in advance,
Peter

With NikonScan, you tell it what size to look for, and it looks for that
size. The hardware is limited to scans up to 6x9 (56 x 83mm). NikonScan does
sometimes have trouble finding the frame, especially when scanning negatives
as positives, but there is some amount of manual override. If all else
fails, Vuescan gives you complete manual control of frame selection and some
people find it to do a better job of scanning negatives as negatives than
NikonScan.
