Scanning an attachmen

How do we scan a document or photo as an attachment from within Microsoft
Outlook 2007?

You dont
You scan using whatever scanning software is installed, and possibly
directly send from that software as an attachment within an email

You could try Insert tab, Text panel, Object icon, Create new tab,
select Image Document entry, OK. At that point IF you have your scanning
hardward and software properly set up you will scan the image and put it
in the message. YMMV. Otherwise just insert the already created file.
