Hello,
To resolve your issue you will need to know how your scanner is connected
to your computer. If the scanner is connected to a SCSI controller you may
need to locate Windows 2000 drivers for either the controller card or
scanner itself.
If your scanner is connected to the parallel (LPT) port on your computer
you will need to do the following to configure Windows 2000 to detect a
scanner on the LPT port:
1. Right-click My Computer, and click Properties.
2. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager.
3. Expand Ports, click Printer Port (LPT1), and then click Port Settings.
4. Click to select the "Enable Legacy Plug and Play detection" check box.
5. Restart the computer.
The settings for parallel ports in Windows 2000 are different from those in
Microsoft Windows 95 and Microsoft Windows 98. This parallel port scanner
is a legacy device and requires legacy support from the parallel port.
Thanks,
Jeff Wade[MS]
