Scanner Help!

I have a Hewlett Packard scanner that worked with my Compaq computer with Windows 98, but now that I have a new Hewlett Packard computer and Windows XP it won't work. I don't know what to do, I love to scrap book and most of my family lives out of town, so I used to love sharing pictures of my family with them, but have not been able to do so because of this issue. If anyone knows what's wrong please let me know.

Hardware and peripherals like a scanner must have XP compatible drivers to work properly. Chack with HP about updated drivers for the scanner.
