scanner error

I keep getting a error message saying my scanner is being used but I know it isn't this is what listed in wiaserc lo

I used my scanner a week earlier and no problems. I have since reinstalled my os XP pro, can anyone lead me in the right direction the scanner only a year old

When you reinstalled Windows XP, did you also reinstall the scanner?

yes I have, I have a scanport 3000 which XP think is a Visioneer 4800, I have installed scanner drivers etc and still get error, I tried reinstalling still get error
