Currently my film scanner FS2710 works under Windows XP with a scsi card 7850. I would like to migrate to Windows 7 and to know how to make it working with that OS. I cannot find any compatible driver. Can somebody help me?

welcome to PCR

You have two choices ...

1. do nothing
2. buy a new scanner that is supported under Win 7

[note: any new scanner will become obsolete when new OS arrives ... ;) ]

Wot Mucks said.

It may work, it may not.

My Epson 4490 Photo Scanner did work with Win 7 - Yay!

One peripheral should not be a reason for holding back from changing to a newer operating system but hey - whatever :)

There's a small chance you can get it working with Windows 7, as long as it's 32 bit. The hardest part will probably be finding SCSI drivers, which you can download here:

http://www.adaptec.com/en-US/downloads/ms/ms_win_7?productId=AVA-2906&dn=Adaptec+SCSI+Card+2906

Your scanner may then get autodetected by Windows, but I wouldn't hold out too much hope. There are some drivers for the scanner which you will also need, but they are only for XP, so may not work : http://software.canon-europe.com/products/0000463.asp

Worth a shot, just in case :)

Thanks to everybody for the answers. I got the confirmation from Canon that they won't develop any compatible driver for Windows 7. I've been told that I could use, with Windows 7 Professional, a virtual PC emulation under Windows XP and try to use my scanner. Wait and see... I'll keep you posted.
