Scanjet 3570C

Hardware wizard and Imaging wizard to not install this
scanner. It was working and I disconnected it. After I
reconnected it, it disappeared from computer and I have
reinstalled the software numerous times, checked cables,
turned power on and off, restarted computer, etc.

Also, I thought it was the scanner itself that was broken,
so I bought another one just like it and they are both
doing the same thing. How can I get the computer to now
recognize the scanner?

Please help me. I have been up all night after days of
trying to figure this out. My mother in law is coming for
Thanksgiving and I am way behind on my preparations!

P.S. Telling me how stupid I am for buying another
Scanjet 3570C will not help now. (I can take the new one
back.)

You may have to go into device manager and "Show Hidden" and remove all
instances and then start a fresh install. Also take a look under
troubleshooting/support for that model scanner at the HP web site.

The device does not appear in Device Manager even under
hidden. And I have already tried everything from the HP
support site. I have done some of the things more than
once. Still my computer does not detect the scanner at
all. The drive is not installed. Thanks.

Are the USB ports working properly? Does the install require the drivers
be installed befor the scanner is plugged in?
