Ok were is scandisk on xp pro. it dosnt come up after defraging etc. and i don't wont to have to put on a schedule. i just wont to be able to run it when i need to

Note that ChkDsk is not Scandisk. Most significant difference: No
ability to interactively check the system such that it will tell you
what it has found and ASK before carrying on to "fix" it.
If you are on FATxx, you can use a Win98 DOS mode and its Scandisk
instead. If you are on NTFS, your options are that much poorer.
