PS
I recently had my operating system not acknowledge I have a
memory stick. Windows 2000 acknowledges it is there, as
the icon in the lower left pops-up for proper removal.
Also, in My Computer, it is noticed as the "F" drive, as it
always did. Once I double click to see what is on my
memory stick, a message comes up to insert disk into drive,
no disk available.
What should I do. The memory stick continues to work in
other computers with Windows ME, Windows 2000, and Xp.
Also, a zip drive works on the operating system when
connected. Another memory stick was used, and the computer
registered its existance and it works. The above processes
have been run after a Windows 2000 update was performed.
The desktop computer does not communicate with my memory
stick, and it seems to be an isolated issue as I have run
other options to rule out a malfunctioning memory stick, or
other memory stick device?
Any direction would be helpful.
thanks much.
