I have been told that Windows XP/W2k scandisk and chdsk
utility have problem with partitions larger than 137 gig
but I didn't find any article on it in MS knowledge base.
Can you please clarify for me, is there or isn't there a
problem with partitions > 137??

Windows XP has a "Checkdisk" error-checking utility that replaced
the old "Scandisk" utility in previous versions of Windows. There
should be no problem using Checkdisk with partitions greater than
137GB.
