scan shows no progress

I clicked on scan now, however it doesn't seem to be
working, it shows scanning memory locations and
processes, howevr no progress is noted on the right hand
side such as number of files scanned etc. Please help,

Can you try an update install to see if it changes the
behavior?

control panel, add or remove programs, Microsoft
Antispyware, change, update
