Scan locks up

I cannot complete a scan. It goes into the registry
files, and locks up at broderbund-dss files. I cannot
sweep the 60 + incidents of spyware that the csan finds
because the scan simply would not complete. I tried it in
safe mode but that would not work either. Any advise or
can anyone recommened any other programs to use?

This article lists three vendors of reputable antispyware programs. Two of
these programs have free versions.

The third has both a trial and an online scanner. See whether these
products can take care of some part of the load on your system.
