Can anyone tell me how to get rid of scan lines from a Nikon LS-20? I'm
trial-ing Silverfast Ai 6 and Photoshop CS. The scan lines are most
noticeable when I lighten shadow areas.

Thanks in advance for any help from anyone.

do they appear at the same position when you mount the stripe vice versa?

Likely to be dust in the optics. If this was an internal unit, the PC's
fans pulled air thru the scanner and would fill it with dust after a
while. YOu could try blowing clean air ( not from a "air can" through
and see if it goes away or moves.

I appreciate the suggestion. I'll try it (yes, it is an internal unit
and I do have fans running.)
Thanks.
