I am trying to "batch scan" with SD IV and, after following cassette
loading instructions, I get the "error in the parameters" message. Any
advice welcome. jim

Did you select all frames in the preview? (Control-A)

Thanks for the suggestion, but I never get that far. When I select
"batch scan" from the launcher, it asks me to open the door and then to
"please position holder properly", which means to insert the cassette
in the device. As soon as I do that and it "sucks" the cassette in, I
get the "error in the paraeters" message. Its like I have specified
something in the "batch scan settings" that I should not have and I
never have a chance to "select all". I have the feeling that if I could
go back to default settings for the batch scan settings I would be OK,
but i do not know how to get back to default. Jim

I no longer have the scan dual IV software on my computer because my scan
dual IV died a while back.

I do not remember a Batch mode from the Launcher. I used the TWAIN mode via
a Image editor.

On the first start up on the launch of the scanner interface, the scanner
did an Initiation with the door closed, then you got the TWAIN interface.
You insert the film holder and click the preview button, the scanner then
previewed all frames in the holder, 4 if slide holder and 6 if film strip
holder. Then you can select one to all frames. Batch is simply scanning more
that one frame at a time.

The Scan dual IV is known to fail without warning.

This is what I learned about the Scan Dual IV scanner.
