Scan Dual IV and Vuescan?

Has anyone tried this, or is there any resaon to think it wont work?
I'm probably about to buy one - B&H sent me email saying it is now
available.

No. It does not appear to work. I just downloaded 7.6.75 and it does
not find the scanner.

In addition, I'm having trouble with batch scanning on the Scan Dual
IV, which is why I dumped my old photosmart for the new scanner.
Grrr.

VueScan doesn't yet work with the Scan Dual IV, but I hope to get
this working as soon as I can get my hands on one, probably in the
next few weeks.

There is every reason to think it won't work, until Ed Hamrick
specifically adds support. I assume he needs to acquire a scanner, as
part of this process.

Watch the new version announcements, he will say when he's added
support, which I assume will happen, perhaps in a month or two.
 
I'm using a Scan Dual IV with Vuescan 7.6.80, which specifically supports
it....great scanner
