I just fed my Nikon camera into my newer Vista computer and it said
something might be wrong, and do I want to scan and fix the drive?
I found some articles on Google and realized that this is because of
the way Vista keeps track of the way you last used the device. Since
this is the first time I used this device with Vista, it gave me this
annoying box.
I'm glad I resolved the problem, but you shouldn't have to look up
articles to find out what's wrong. It just shouldn't have been
designed this way. Microsoft should have thought about the first time
users use a device with Vista. Remember a lot of users are not
technical and want to use their ipods, flash drives etc. without this
happening.
Also, XP had not been designed this way.
