scan and defrag

good mourning
whats the best web site where i can troubleshoot my defrag. when mine is
finnished it has hundreds of little white and blue lines (is not a solid blue
and solid white) and also are there a site that i can scan for virus?

The white lines indicate unused (free/available) disk space. Blue means no
fragmentation. Red are files that are fragmented. It would appear that too
much/many small chucks of free space remains unused. Some defragmenters
provide an option called 'Slack' which can cause this. Since you didn't
mention who's tool you are using (Microsoft's, Diskeeper, Norton, Etc.) this
is the only info I can provide, which not to insult you may already know.

thanks much for reply. i got the microsoft or what ever came with XP home ,
so this is normal? i got a defrag deal this mourning called VXP_722 , dont
know if i should try it or not. what about a virus scan on line that i could
use , i have had mcafee for five years now but i got a feeling that i need to
run some other virus scan.

Have not heard of or tried VXP so I can't comment.
As for the AV scan, boot to Safe Mode and then run the AV scan.
