I am using Word 2000. Can I scan a document into word? Any help
appreciated. Thanks.

I do it all the time with my Epson scanner at work, and
my HP scanner at home. What I do, is scan the document,
and when I go to "Save As," I save as a Word document.

You will need to have OCR software. Most scanners come with some "lite"
software for this purpose. Office XP also includes some scanning software.

Your scanner may have come bundled with some OCR software which will allow
you to transfer scanned contents into Word.

Later versions of Office included the Microsoft Office Document
Scanning/Imaging programs which offer more integration.
