AI have just recieved on my e-mail a nessage saying I have won 1.700,000
dollars in an M/S Word competion, the address to e-mail was in England with
all my details ect, The point is now, the scammers are using Microsoft Word
logo to get unsuspectings victims, What have Microsoft done to stop this
practice.

There's very little that can be done about it by Microsoft, obviously they
can bring legal action against improper use of their trade marks. But if
they're in who-knows where it could take years, if ever.

Design a logo for your own company. Publish it in your products, on
your web site, and elsewhere. Now see how YOU can stop anyone from
copying it and including it in their web page or e-mail. You get a
phishing e-mail to divulge your personal information and you expect the
a-holes to also give a damn about copyright law?
