SCA SCSI hard drive w/ 68 pins adapter?

Hi,
I remembered someone has asked this question b4 sometime ago but couldnt
remember the detail now. I am thinking of purchasing a SCSI hard drive with
SCA interface as they seemed to be cheaper compared to regular 68 pins
model. I will be using this drive on my Adaptec 2940UW controller using a
SCA to 68 pins adapter. Is this a good setup? Will I get into any kind of
problems or difficulties? What are your thoughts? Pls advise. TIA.

They are not cheaper, but SCA is much more common in drives of the last 5
years.

It will likely work fine. I have no problems with two SCA drives on a 2940UW.
You need a terminator on the cable.

How well it works depends on what you're doing. If you're just sticking
the drive in a bay in a PC case then it will work fine--if you're using
it in a tray it may be another story--getting an SCA drive to work with
the Compaq 68-pin trays for example is a pain in the butt because
nothing lines up and there is limited space.
