After updating to Outlook 2003 from Outlook 2000 the following error occurs
everytime that Outlook 2003 is opened. Click the ok button and Outlook
continues without a problem.

Microsoft Office Outlook error box:

C;\Documents and Settings\jdoe\Application Data…..SBCMSYNC.dll is not a
valid Office AddIn

Technote Q235009 is for Outlook 2000 and does not appear to be the solution
for Outlook 2003 since the resolution refers to Outlook Sync option in Add-In
Manager which does not exist in Outlook 2003.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi HOward,
seem to be an Add in error.
Have you deinstalled the Outlook Sync Add in?
the add in manager in OL 2003 is in Tools>Options>Other>Advanced Options

Have you deinstalled the Outlook Sync Add in?

NO. I do not see anything that refers to the Outlook Sync Add in?

To solve the problem
Go to Tools > Options > Other > Advanced Options > Add-I
Manager and than uncheck Add-In

Um dieses Problem zu loesen befolgen Sie bitte den oben angegebene
Weg. :lol

ok, I may be in the wrong place. my problem with this dll is I connect to a
citrix server over the internet to work. I login using my username and
password. the citrix destop comes up and I start Outlook 2003 with the
shortcut. When it opens I get an erro box with c:\Documentsand
settings\username=application data\microsoft\AddIns\C:Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Publisher 2000|Office\SBCMYNC.DLL' is not a valid Office Add-in.

The are advising it is coming from my home computer. What, What, What, is
that a cop out, leave me alone, I don't want to mess with you thing. I do
have outlook 2002 at home, but I never get this message opening it at home,
so can you advised what is going on. I am not a technical person, but I
believe the IT dept at work in passing if off.
