SB16 not found by XP

(kinda a dummy on computers, sorry
I recently updated win98SE to XP professional but now my system can't seem to find my Soundcard
I have tried to add SB16 AWE32 driver but it gives a device won't start (code 10) error
I also opened my computer took the card out and re-inserted it hoping it would be detected but it hasn't

Anyone know what's wrong? please help me out
 
Zythasha, I checked at Soundblaster's site and nothing there in the way
of updated drivers for your card
http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/download.asp Probably is
too old.

go to www.dogpile.com and search for soundblaster forums. www.theforumz.com
is a start. In all cases create a crap email adress that you can read over
the net from something like mail2web and use that as your spam black
hole.you'll most likely need to register to post so the email adress you
create will be for it. works good to when a company says they don't give
out your email address. give that and watch how fast it fills.
