SB Audigy 2

After I installed my Sb Audigy 2 sound card when theres supposed to be sound
all I get is jumbled noises. Is it broken or am I doing something wrong?
 
the Audigy 2 cards are pretty much junk. I'm going through RMA hell with
mine. I would take it back and get a refund seriously. If you keep the card
you will continue to be in a nightmare and it will only get worse
 
yeah...since mikes ap2 sucks everybody's must.....now are they worth the price? that's another story...both of mine work fine with
7500 and 9700 aiws even got the spidf to work. The only thing that never worked on either was the subwoofer channel. I challenged
the vender to get it to work, I got them at cost,......

Well, all I can say is that my A2 has worked perfectly since I got it 5
months ago... not a single problem.

Yep, we ALLLLLL know about Mikes issues. He's the one who thought his card
was bad so decided to try and ebay it till CL gave hime an RMA. Not exactly
the most reliable source of info. If you really want a good taste of mikeys
view goto the Creative Servers Audigy ng.

On the other hand many others have had much enjoyment from theirs, me
included, I would recommend trying to do reinstall of software and updates.
If it doesnt help then post to the server/ng I mentioned and Im sure us
lunitics who are happy can try to help more.

Same here. I got mine about the same time. Not a single problem. I really
noticed the difference after upgrading from PCI128 (even with 4.1 speakers).

No problems here with my SB Audigy 2 and my ATI 8500 AIW
 
I would like to know, if you use analog speakers, if you have gotten the sub woofer channel to work anyone?
 
No problem here, with my Klipsch 5.1 speaker system - subwoofer channel
works great...

Klipsch ProMedia GMX D-5.1 ??????????? are the ones you are referring to ANALOG?

These speakers cannot receive the PCM digital audio signal, which makes them incapable of playing 5.1 sounds from all Creative Labs
cards, the most dominant brand of card out there, making them a bad purchase for the majority of PC users that have this card
