when trying to save my powerpoint presentation with a verbatim datalife 2hd ibm format floppy disk an error came up that said there wasnt enough space on the disk to save it. what should i do to get my presentation saved?

ggt,
Saving a PPT presentation directly to a floppy disk is not a
recommended procedure.
Reason is PPT saves a temporary file to the disk to be sure it is
complete before it actually does the real save which is from the
temporary file. So a file actually has to be less than 1/2 of the
available disk space.

Save the file to your hard drive and then copy the file to the floppy
disk is the recommended behavior.

Is the file to big for a floppy? They can only hold 1.4 MB, PowerPoint
files often exceed this. Check actual the file size.

Is there too much being stored in your PowerPoint file? Check here for
ideas on how to reduce file size:

Some versions of PowerPoint also allow for saving across multiple disks
using the 'Pack & Go' feature. (If you have a CD burner, other versions
also allow for 'Package for CD')

You can also use the multi-disk spanning tool available in WinZip (or some
other compression software's) to use several floppies to hold the
presentation.

Floppy Disks are not a preferred method of transferring presentations due to
their small storage size. You may want to see if any alternative methods
are available to you.

i did try saving to my hardrive and then copying it ..but a message came up and said it was to big to copy onto the floppy.

Looks like it's too big to fit on a floppy - - just a wild guess there. <G>
If you need to transport the file you'll either need to reduce the size or
burn it to a CD. See the following stuff about size:
