I have the same problem here. Using a JVC Digital CyberCam Mini DV via 1394 adapter. I had no problem with Movie Maker version 1. I will surf to see if there is a patch out there for this problem. If you solve it b4 I do, will you post fix? Please. I will do the same

Thanks

I am not able to save anything with moviemaker 2, moviemaker 1 worked
fine, any ideas

I've only used version 2, so please forgive me if the following doesn't
help.

In version 2, you have to perform steps 1 and 2 before the options for
saving (step 3) will become available.

If you are in the "Collections" phase and have not yet selected the "Tasks"
button, you won't see the 3 steps listed. Look at the top of the MM2
window. Click on the "Tasks" option to reveal the 3 Steps column..

Step 1, "Import video".
Step 2, "Edit video"
Step 3, "Save options".
If you don't have anything transfered to the timeline, the Save options will
all be grayed out. Also, you need to use the drop-down arrow to expand the
list of available options for Step 3.
