hi Group
question on saving.
I am getting a new office PC and I want to transfer all my email
settings (folders and all) to the new PC. In simple terms. I want my
OE on my new PC to look exactly as it is on my old PC.
Can I do this?
any help is appreciated.
As you've been told, Vista includes Windows Mail, rather than Outlook
Express. While the differences between the two seem largely cosmetic to
me (I've used Thunderbird for years, and don't care for Microsoft's
email/newsreader products), the two applications are different, and will
look different.
For everything else, the Windows Easy Transfer utility should enable
you to transfer your data files and settings from the old computer to
the new one. It should even translate most of your OE settings to the
new Windows Mail.
How to use Windows Easy Transfer to migrate files and settings from one
Windows-based computer to another Windows Vista-based computer
