Hello,
Are you saying you have the same problem on two computers?
As far as what keys to press is concerned I'm afraid to say that it IS the
case. But I can't speak to the very out of date version 1 of movie maker
only 2.n
Can you confirm that....
1) You have an audio card fitted and that it is functioning properly
2) You have installed SP2 and that any conflicts that arose have been dealt
with
3) How much space is free on your C Drive and any other drives?
4) When did you last remove any redundant files
5) When did you last empty your Recycle Bin
6) If you use the Symantec Utilities when did you last empty your protected
files store
If you need help with No 4 you can download the free program Delete Dross
from my website...to use...select drive, Click Start, Click Check All and
then Click Start. If you have a particular additional file type you want to
search for and delete use the Add option when it appears. You will see the
format for the description...the * is a wildcard meaning one or more
characters. PLEASE NOTE: The purpose of Delete Dross is to permanently
delete files, they will NOT go into your Recycle Bin
If none of the above solves your problem. Look for the FAQ I post most days
at 1300hrs BST and read the section on re-installing SP2, DirectX, The
Codec Pack etc. Follow the instructions to the letter and if that also
fails (assuming your answers to 1 to 4 are good) I can sell you a nice
shiny 10lb lump hammer.
If you want further help on the Delete Dross program ask via the Common
Rooms on my website
