saving to hard disk

I have saved the Sims 2 to my hard disk as there were so many problems with
it trying to install normally. Now I am trying to install from hard drive
with no disks. It still pops up what looks like the normal installation and
will do the folder disk1 and then asks for disk 2. I went to disk 2 folder
and and double clicked the rungame and pressed ok. The thing asking for disk
2 still keeps popping up. Is this normal? It doesn't seem to be doing
anything.

Two possible ways:

1. If it asks for disk 2 and has a little box with something like E:\
in it, change this to the ROOT directory of your saved disks, for
instance C:\Install NOT C:\install\disk2.
2. The disks are copy protected and a simple copying to the hard drive
does not do the proper job. In this case you will need a program like
BlindWrite. This program creates an image file on the read option which
you can then mount with a program like DaemonTools like regular disk.

It does not have that option. It just simply asks for disk 2. I also have
this que. for ea tech site as they did not expand on how to go to disk 2, or
just to ignore.

Hi MysteriousWendi,

Another possible solution which can be added to this thread is to
physically insert CD 2 when it's asking for it, instead of browsing
to the hard drive location which you saved the CD contents to. :-)
