Saving to floppy disks

Every time I save to a floppy disk, I get the
message: "The Target cannot handle this kind of document."
Yet, I can save to the disks....what does this message
mean, and how can I get rid of it?

Is the doc bigger than the FD? Is the doc bigger than the unused
space on the FD? Is the FD formatted? If you click on the FD
from Explorer, what do you see? Is the FD enabled in the BIOS?
Does the BIOS know the right size for the FD?
