Ive got a vaio and ive just done an educational video
project on movie maker because ive never done any editing
work before.
I wanted to burn to dvd at the end using sonys own click
to dvd package which supports mpeg and avi files.
so i did my project saved as a movie file and imported it
to the dvd package. the dvd that was burned was without
audio.
i checked all settings that i could think of and tried
again but same. The strange thing is that the file will
play fine in media player but will again not give audio
in the bundled premiere 6LE i have.this again supports
avi files.
hit seems that mm could be saving the audio file in a
different way..i dont know ..any ideas?
i get around it by sending it out to mini dv then
reimporting it into the dvd package ..that works fine but
it all takes a lot longer....

I have the same issue. I get around it by converting the resulting file
(from MM) using Canopus dv converted to type 2 (not sure at the moment, I
can check when I get home), and then send the processed file to DVD via
Click to DVD.

I don't have the link handy for the converted, but I did a quick search in
Google, and here's what I came up with.
