I have had many problems reloading Windows2000, most of
them are my problems, which leads me to reload windows2000
again. I would like to download all the updates from the
Service pack 4 to the critical security updates to the
direct9x, all of which is well over 100MB. And I would
like to save them in a folder for later screwups of mine
so I wouldn't have to download them again. Is there a way
to do this? The only success I have is to download and
save the setup file for service pack 4, which is worthless
to me in regards to time saved.

You can certainly download the Service Pack completely.

The link is below, but in the spirit of teaching you to
fish...
Go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads, Select Windows
2000 as the product, and put SP4 in the search box.

The first link that appears in the results is the "Windows
2000 service pack 4 Network Install for IT Professionals"

W2KSP4_EN.EXE at 132MB

Or straight to the page:-

I believe you can do a similar thing with the security
patches, but I've not tried to myself.

Paul.

Thanks. Worked great.
