saving sound files

When I add a sound file to a presentation and then go to save it to disc as a pps. , the sound is missing. Do I need to embed the sound file? Or???
 
Only WAV files can be embedded. All other media files are linked. You should
put those files in your folder along with the presentation *before* you insert
them in your presentation. See an explanation at:

Only WAV files can be embedded and only if they are smaller than the
setting for "Link sounds with file size greater than" (found in Tools
menu, under options, on the General tab).

If the sound files are not embedded, you can either copy the sound files
to the same folder as your presentation and then insert them, or you use
Package to CD or Pack and Go (depending on your version), and it should
automatically gather the linked files for you. You might check out this
