Saving Slide show to a DVD

I love using Windows Movie Maker it is just what I want . I do want a way to
save my slideshows on a dvd and to be able to send them to my parents and
they can just pop it into any DVD player. Is there any way of doing this.

Hello,

Movie Maker can not create a DVD or any other style of disk that is usable on
currently available domestic players.

You can create fairly good movies out of stills. You then need appropriate
software...MyDVD, Nero 6 Reloaded (Brilliant), DVD Complete (Brilliant) or
whatever is locally available....you import the file created in Movie Maker,
create your chapters if appropriate and burn your disk.

Not directly with Movie Maker, but you can Save a DV_AVI or WMV movie file
and then import it into the software that came with your DVD burner (if you
have one) to write it to DVD.

John thanks for the help and sorry about the double post. When I tried to do
it directly from the Microsoft site I kept getting errors and did not know it
went through. I just got Nero 6 Ultra Edition will that work? Plus do I
save the file as a DV_AVI or WMV?

Hello,

Nero 6 Reloaded is what I have and its pretty damm good. I am not sure where
Nero 6 Ultra is on the version list....if it is lower than my version the
upgrade is free from the Nero web site.

When preparing a video for importing into any DVD creation software it is
ALWAYS best to create a DV-AVI. DV-AVI is the least compressed format available
from Movie Maker and therefore has the best chance of being good quality
