Hi There

I have 2 databases exactly the same. One on home PC and one at work. The DB
on the home PC is for experimenting with, and the one at work is for real!

I have created an excellent query and report in the home PC database and
instead of creating them again (which would be time consuming) I simply
want to copy or export them and then insert them in the work DB.

Is there any way to copy an individual query or report and insert it into
new database?

Many thanks for any help offered!

Kind Regards

Ady

Ady,

You can transport a copy of the 'home' mdb to work. You can take the
whole thing, or if this is difficult because of size, you can make a new
mdb on your home PC, and then from the new mdb use the File|Get External
Data menu to import your query and report into it, and then take this
one in to work. Either way, when you get there, once again from the
'work' database, you can use the File|Get External Data menu to import
the query and report that you brought in.

Just create a new database & export the report & query into the new database (nothing else). Then take that new database file that only has the report & query in it to work. Open the work database & import the query & report from the new database file.
