The project (MSWMM file is only a project file.
This is not the movie you created in Movie Maker, as the tutorial I
pointed
you to will show, for the actual movie you need to do one of three
things:
Click "Save to my computer"
Click File -> Save Movie File
or hit CTRL+P on your keyboard
Any one of these things will open the save movie wizard which will guide
you
through the process of saving a video clip in either WMV or AVI which
will
be playable in Media Player but still NOT on a DVD Player. For that you
need
a DVD Authoring program to create either a DVD or a VCD. Again info about
this is also on my website.

Are you saying since I'm saving project as a .smwmm, it can only be
played
in
Movie Maker? Can it be converted to a different file type so it can be
played
on any Media Player? that's what I need to do. But since the original
does
play on Windows Media Player after I put it on CD, why can't I get the
project one on the CD too?
I will go to your website. Thanks so much!!

:
I keep saving my MM project and trying to copy it to a CD. I first
play
the
project and can see my titles and everything but when I copy it to
CD,
the
CD
plays my original unedited film with no titles and sections I had
deleted.
Why can't I save my project as is to my CD??? thanks

Hi Margaret
I am confused as to what you are actually doing here.
At first I assumed you were saving the project which only creates a
.MSWMM
file which is a file that only Movie Maker can use. But then you said
your
original movie plays on the CD so you must be copying the original
clip
to
your CD.
So since I can't figure out what it is your doing I will direct you to
a
tutorial on how to create a movie with Movie Maker and we'll see if
the
steps I have outlined there are the steps you are taking.
So for that tutorial go to my website.
Click the [Movie Maker] tab then the [How-To] button then in the left
pane
you will see "Create a DVD Ready Movie" click that and read through
the
steps in the tutorial then post back here.
