Ok, so i made a movie using a few video clips that were saved as .mpeg files.
everything works, and it saved perfect. but i dont want to save the movie as
a .wmv. it automatically saves it as that. i want to save my whole movie as a
..mpeg file. how, if possible, can i do this? thanks.

You need to use other software to create the MPEG files from the movies you
save from MM2... software such as TMPGEnc or DVD software.

wait. what? i had .mov files (thats what my digital camera automatically
saves the videos as), but i converted them to .mpeg's. then i used the .mpeg
files in MM2 to make the movie.. but when i go to save it, it automatically
saves the whole movie as a .wmv. so what exactly are you saying to do?

Movie Maker gives you two choices to save the movie as - WMV and DV-AVI

I'm saying that, if you want anything other than those two, you need to use
other software to do a conversion.

Hi....if you converted from .mov to .mpeg you must already have converting
software. Usually MM2 does not work well with .mpeg (as well as not saving
to that format type)....so for a more stable situation you should convert it
to something like AVI to use. And if you are to put your 'movie' on dvd
later, its best to save from MM to a DV-AVI file type for better quality.
If you don't have a good 'converting' program give 'AVS Converter' a try.
Good luck....

o, ok. well i bought a converter that only converts .mov to .mpeg or .avi.
but i cant convert them any other way. so u say that .avi works better with
MM2? ok, is .avi quicktime or windows media player? i'm thinking its windows
b/c it'd be stupid to convert from .mov (QT) to another QT file name. ok,
does the AVS Converter cost any money? thanks.
