I recently upgraded to XP and Office 2003. Now when I save a file as Web
Page, It is automatically saved as a Compuserve HTML Document. (yes, I have
Compuserve) In order to share my presentation, I have to make a point of
opening it with explorer. Even if I do connect to CS, the presentation
doesn't work correctly. Is there a way to save it to automatically save/open
with explorer? I never had to worry about this before....Thanks for the help.

How do you know for sure it's saving it as a compuserve HTML document?

What is a compuserve html document anyway. I thought HTML was HTML

What does it open in otherwise if you doubleclick it?

It sounds as though the Compuserve software has taken over the file
associations for HTML files.

What about other files with an .HTML or .HTM extension? Same thing?

For example:

<html>
<head>
</head>
<body>
<h1>Is Compuserve Evil?</h1>
</body>
</html>

Copy that little bit of html into Notepad, save it and then rename the saved
file to TEST.HTM

Doubleclick it. What happens?
Even if I do connect to CS, the presentation

Under its ICON, it says Compuserve HTML
When I click on it to open it, it goes to connect to compuserve, but even
after connection, the file doesn't open properly.
If I right click the icon and choose Open With...Internet Explorer, it
opens correctly.
I have never seen such a thing before either, which is what brought me here
for help. Very Strange.

You might want to right click on the icon, and look at the properties, and see
where and what it takes to open.
