Hi all
Have just installed Outlook 2003
By default I have 1 menu bar and 3 toolbars - all together in 4 bars
Some of the toolbars are short and I can move them so that I have 2 toolbars on the same line
After I close Outlook and open it again, the toolbars are back on 3 lines
How can I save the position of the toolbars
In IE I can 'Lock the toolbars' - is there something similar in Outlook? If not, there should be :)

Do a hard reset of the Toolbars by renaming outcmd.dat to outcmd.old. All
toolbar customizations will be lost and the Toolbar will be reset to how it
looks like after a clean install.

Thanks but that's not my problem
I have arranged the toolbars the way I WANT to have them. The problem is that I don't know how to SAVE this
When I restart Outlook the toolbars come like they were before I arranged them, and I have to arrange them again.

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. It could be possible that your configuration
doesn't stick because of a corrupted outcmd.dat file. By a hard reset you
can eliminate that as the outcmd.dat file will be recreated. If you verified
it doesn't work you can rename the outcmd.old file back to outcmd.dat to
restore your customizations. If it works after the reset you'll have to
reconfigure the Tolbar again.

Danny, I am having the same issue. Did Roady's solution fix your problem? Seems unlikely to me, although I may be ignorant. Roady, as I am new to Outlook as well, tell us, does Outlook have the same functionality as OE does as far as the abitliy to lock the tool bar as desired? I have been searching for this answer with out luck so far.

This problem is very likely to occur after an upgrade or installing software
that integrates with Outlook.

Outlook doesn't have a Lock Toolbar option
