Saving Pivot Chart Alterations

Hi,
I am creating a pivot chart and then altering the colors,
alignment etc. However, everytime I change a parameter
from drop down lists, the colors default to original.

How can I avoid this.

This is a known problem in Excel 2000. There's some info in the
following MSKB article, which suggests recording a macro as you apply
the formatting:
