Sometimes when I have been looking at something on the Internet a tiny
toolbar pops up. It has about 4 buttons. I can't remember what they are all
for. One is definitely offering the option to save the image. I think
another offers the option to print. I can't remember what the others do.
This toolbar seems to just pop up at random. I don't know if it's part of
Windows XP or Internet Explorer. Can anybody advise? Also, is there a way to
make it appear consistently?

Hi,

Part of IE, it shows when you have the cursor on an image. You can save,
print, e-mail, or open the My Pictures folder (presumably to save the image
there).

That sounds like the one. But, try as I might, cursoring over an image
doesn't necessarily show this toolbar.

On my setup, those are the right-click options: ARe you maybe accidentally
hitting the right mouse button? The other possibility is the mouse if
failing - try with another mouse ifyou can get one.

Well, the right mouse button just brings up the usual menu. The left mouse
button does nothing as far as I can see. I don't seem to get the icons which
sometimes appear at random! My batteries are fairly new so I don't think it
can be the mouse.

If you want to disable that - in IE, Tools...Internet Options...Advanced
tab, scroll down to Multimedia section, UNcheck "Enable Image Toolbar",
click Apply, click Okay, reboot.
