It won't do any harm to try (it is free for non-commercial use)
Where it differs from your request is that File > Print leads to a
dialogue box allows %D, %F and quite a few other details to be added to
the print out.
These will not (as far as I know) be saved to the digital image file but
they will appear in the printout
I can see why it is handy to have a %F option that automatically appends
a filename to an image but I guess it may be tricky to do.
What if, for example, size 48 font is used then the image is resized?
(A rasterised version of the filename on the image would be neat)
Then suppose the filename is change - the old filename is now embedded
into the image. See the conundrum?
Maybe there is such a thing as a relative font size?
Change image size by -50% and the font/filename also changes by -50%?
