Is there a way to tell IE6 to save a password at a website after I've
already told it not to? I wasn't sure of the password at one site and didn't
want the wrong one saved, but now I'd like it to have it automatically
insert the password, but since I told it not to save it, I need to type it
each time.

Thanks!

In IE click on Tools|Internet Options|Content|AutoComplete. Check the box
marked "Prompt me to save passwords". Problem solved!

Try double-clicking or typing the first letter in the "name" field. If
autocomplete gives you a dropdown box with suggested usernames, select the
correct name (just put the pointer on it) and hit the delete key.
Login again and see if the "Remember" option is there.

When that doesn't work, clearing all passwords should reset the "Save
Password" option. IE> Tools> Options> Content> Autocomplete> Clear
Passwords.

Protected Storage PassView from http://www.webattack.com/get/pspv.shtml will
help you recover other cached passwords *before* you clear all passwords.

Thanks for the info! I'll give this a try. I do have the "prompt to remember
passwords checked, but I think since I've already said no, that's why is
won't work. Maybe this will.

Thanks!
