I would like to know if it is possible to save parameters entered usin
parameter queries so that it can be used across multiple reports.
I am developing a database for tallying expenses and all the report
need to print the month and the year at the top. Is it possible t
accept the user input when the database is loaded (the main form i
loaded) and then use this parameter whenever required in a repor
instead of asking the user to give these values each time the report i
invoked??

Thanking you,
J

J,

One option here is to not use parameter queries at all. Instead, use
unbound controls (textbox, combobox, as applicable) on a form which
will be open at the time that the reports are printed. Then you can
refer to these controls in the query criteria, using syntax such as
[Forms]![NameOfForm]![NameOfControl] and equally use the reference to
the control on the form within the controlsource of the textboxes on
the report where you want these values to display. That way, you only
have to enter the criteria once, and all reports can use them.
