My windows 98SE has been corrupted and now hangs
constantly so I have to re-install but I do not want to
hurt my outlook and all the folders I have set up for it
and my address book. How can I save these files elsewhere
to protect them (and what files are they?) and then bring
them back afterwards and how do I load them into the "new"
outlook I'll have to install?

Sue Mosher's Slipstick site has a great writeup on
what files to copy over and what they do:

Outlook & Exchange/Windows Messaging Backup and
Dual-Boot:
http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm

This will show you what files to move over to retain your
signatures and other tweaks that you may wish to retain.
