I'm using a laptop with a wireless connection to a PC, both running XP HE
SP2.

I need to format the 'C' drive of the laptop soon, and I was wondering if
there's any way I can save it's network settings to a USB flash drive or
floppy drive, and if so, where do I find the settings?

Many thanks,
Mike

Hi,

No, not really. Logon instructions and passwords should be written down
before formatting a system.

I don't understand the phrase, "I need to format the 'C' drive soon." My bet
is that you don't need to to that. Formatting should only be done when all
other attempts to clean up a system has been executed. I understand that
some folks do it on a regular basis. It's like a religion to them. Never
done it. However, all important data is backed up.

If you have XP Pro you can use the backup program and backup both your
settings and other folders.
