After editing my lie site; How do I publish a copy back to
my local machine as a back up.

1. Open the live site in FrontPage.
2. Choose Publish Web from teh File menu.
3. Specify a local destination.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Should I do this every time I make a change on the live
site? I really only edit that way when I'm deleting
articles from my discussion web.
 
Another ?

When it tells me the author info (something like that) has
changed do there are 3 options; overwrite; let merge; and
something else?

Which on do I select?

Ernie, as long as you never publish TO your live discussion web site,
you are fine. But if you need to publish from your backup site to
your live site, remember to NOT publish the discussion page as you
will lose your most recent discussion entries.
